Bi-coastal Baby

We had a wonderful trip to Washington state a few weeks ago. We were nervous about taking Breton on such a long flight, but he did just fine. I researched beforehand on how to fly with babies and there were a lot of helpful tips. He slept all through the flights, thankfully!
The biggest challenge was the time difference. At that time he was usually waking up around 6 am, which is 3 am on the west coast! This made for some awake nights and groggy days.
My dear friend Alex came down from BC and stayed with us in downtown Seattle for the weekend. She has recently become quite the coffee connoisseur so she enjoyed hitting up a few different coffee shops around Seattle, which is pretty much the coffee Mecca of the world! We also discovered a city Target which was only a few blocks from our hotel! It doesn't take much to make me happy :)
It was wonderful to see my dear friend. Since meeting six years ago we have managed to see each other at least once a year, despite each of us living in different places, quite literally all over the continent.
The following days were spent with John, Ruth Anne, and their four kiddos (one being just three weeks younger than Breton!), Juleea, Adrien and their two boys, and Grandpa and Grandma. Our friend Jay, who we met in Alaska about six years ago also joined us for a day of skiing! It was the first time for all of them to meet Breton. He is such a lucky little boy to have so many people who love him!
We rented a house in the Snoqualmie Pass, which is in the beautiful Cascade mountains. It is only about an hour from Seattle, so we didn't have to go too far for our skiing getaway.

Below are some photos from the trip:

We got this fabulous seat called "flye baby". It hooks to the tray table and allows baby to sit comfortable, facing you, and you can go hands free!

He and his brothers can sleep ANYWHERE. He had worked nonstop up until our trip, this was a much needed nap on the airport floor.

This was a sweet moment when Breton and Brennan met. They were both pretty excited. Besides looking in a mirror, this is the first baby Breton has ever interacted with. They were both full of smiles.

Had to delete a few dozen of these photos :) Of course I kept a few too!

Alex & I in front of the space needle! We did the tourist thing and went up too!

I think there was mutual love between these two. Even though Breton didn't exactly give her a full night's sleep.

The boys and Isabella loved wrestling!

Cuddles with Grandma

Sorry about the spit up, Grandpa!

A hot tub with scenery. The mountains were nice to look at too! ;)

Little snugglebug!

Like I said, lots of "selfies" from the little miss!

There is a "gum wall" in Seattle. It was gross but also fun to see.

He just wasn't interested in the local Seattle landmarks.

View from the house

We miss this precious little face!

He's a pro at this now!

Hey Ash... didn't know you were THIS close to us! Would've loved to have seen you and meet little Breton. Next time you must take in Vancouver... stay with us anytime! Oh, and where is your friend living in BC?
